Abby - January 2020 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Abby, our January 2020 Dog of the Month! You have been such a sweet, snuggly, wonderful packmate at No Bonz and we love you!

And now a word from Abby’s momma!

“Abby came to us via the second chance program through the Oregon Humane society from Fresno. Abby has been with us since the fall of 2015, and quickly has become the center of our little family.

Abby is 5/8th German Shepherd, and 1/8th Lab, Weimaraner, and Shar-Pei!

She loves to play with her moose baby, herd her cat brother porter (who she loves very much even if she doesn’t want to admit it at times), chase squirrels, and eat peanut butter. Abby also loves to play fetch because #ballislife. She loves her people (especially her auntie Maria) and is incredibly loyal, loving, quirky, and just the derpiest doggo. We are so fortunate to be her parents!”

Jasper - December 2019 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Jasper, our December 2019 Dog of the Month!

Jasper was born in Lebanon, OR and came home with his mom at 8 weeks old. He was 15 pounds of paws and rolls, but grew very quickly into the ~100 lb love sack he is now! Jasper enjoys enthusiastically befriending inanimate objects, prancing around with large sticks (read: small logs), and loving on hoomans. He may pose regally for photos but in his heart he’s a goober who will do anything to make you laugh!

Iggy - November 2019 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Iggy, our November Dog of the Month!

Here’s a word from Iggy’s mom: “Iggy is an affectionate and energetic 5-year-old Chesador aka Chesapeake bay retriever and labrador mix. My brother's dog was having puppies and I knew one of them would be mine. Before, my only pets had been cats, but I had considered a fog for years and knew this was perfect timing. Iggy was one of the smaller pups in the litter and my brother thought her sweet temperament would be a good fit for me. Everyone always comments on how soft she is and she loves to lean in for the snuggles and sneak in some kisses! Her hobbies include fetching, swimming and hiking and she especially loves spending time with her extended dog-family at my parents' where there's plenty of land to run on and a pond to swim in. After days at No Bonz About It, she crashes in the car on the way home and sleeps the rest of the day away, saving energy for her next adventure.”

We are so happy to have Iggy with us at No Bonz!! Congratulations, Iggy!!

Parker - October 2019 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Parker, our October 2019 Dog of the Month!

Parker Dobby Scott-Dockery will be 1 year old this week (Sept. 26)

After searching for a Whippet rescue in the Pacific Northwest for years without much luck, Parker’s parents decided to contact a breeder in Lakewood Washington who was having pups. They picked him up on Dec. 10 in the “Year of the Dog”. Parker was a 50th bday present to one of his owners and they don’t know if they will ever get over how stunningly beautiful this little guy is. Yes, his middle name is a reference to the house elf in Harry Potter - they always thought that Dobby looked like a bit whippet-like with the ears, big eyes and long nose. His parents say, “Don’t worry though Parker Dobby is a free elf! In fact he pretty much rules the house with a bed on every floor and all the treats he could ever want. Parker always looks forward to his daycare days at NO BONZ and loves the team there. Thanks to each of them who make his time there special.”
