Buffy - October 2022 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Buffy, our October 2022 Dog of the Month!!

Buffy - the Bone Slayer - came to her human by way of the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society when she was six-months old in October 2020. The two found and chose each other intentionally and with a little bit of magic. Buffy is now a youthful two and a half. Alternative names for the lady include: Buffalo, Boofy, Buffington, Buff Monster, Sugar Plum, Chicken, Kitten, Tiny Dog, and Pup-Pup.

Buffy has the biggest personality - her eyebrows tell the whole story. Buffy can be kind and supportive to dogs and humans alike. Buffy can also be indignant and independent when she wants things her way.

In her time away from daycare, Buffy enjoys eating all the snacks, swimming and camping, digging holes then splooting in them, running and being chased, and meeting new friends of any species. Buff also loves pawing her human for scratches, taking up the whole bed/sofa, and sitting on her human's feet when the pavement is wet.

We are super excited to have buffy as a part of the pack!!

Summer - September 2022 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Summer, our September 2022 Dog of the Month!

Here’s a little something from Summer’s mom:

“Golden Retriever Software: Pre-Installed with the highest software and hardware. This includes the loyalty chip, the love everyone chip, fun chip and of course the highly popular mayhem chip. They all are operating on the WTH operating system. (Author Unknown) Summer has the classic personality of a Golden Retriever. She is energetic but is also very laid back enough that she gets along with almost every dog. But mostly there is no human she does not like, and she acts confused and offended if a human does not want to say hi. Her walks are more about who she gets to meet than about getting any exercise. Summer loves to play with her neighbor’s dog, Bear. We call him her boyfriend. Everyday Summer and Bear wait impatiently at the adjoining fence to be let into either of their backyards to play fetch together. But Summer’s most favorite place in her whole wide world is No Bonz. Once she is inside the door to No Bonz she charges in to say hi to the staff then jumps at the door to the playroom to be let in and doesn’t look back.”

We are so happy to have sweet Summer with us at No Bonz!! Amisha, one of our team members created a painting of her just inside the door! Be sure to check it out!

Brew - July 2022 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Brew, our July 2022 Dog of the Month!

Brew's life began in an El Paso, Texas animal shelter in the spring of 2020. His mom signed up to be a foster parent through One Tail At a Time dog rescue, and was fortunate enough to be matched with Brew in July of 2020. She felt immediately bonded with him and adopted him a few days later. Their connection and trust has grown ever since. Brew is the sweetest dog his mom could have asked for! He loves cuddling, running, playing with squeaky toys, and hiking. He is very food motivated and loves tossing around a bully stick in the backyard. Brew loves spending time with family and friends! He has a distinct sound he makes when he is really excited to see someone, and it sounds something like "Ah-wooo-wooo!"

Welcome to the pack, Brew! We are thrilled to have you with us at No Bonz!

Mali - June 2022 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Mali, our June 2022 Dog of the Month!!

Mali was brought home over the President’s Day holiday in 2017 - her owners were so excited to look for her that they arrived at the breeder before their appointment and jumped ahead in line. She was the smallest of a litter of 13 and it was sort of love at first sight. Mali loves to play ball and take dips in mud puddles — thankfully she steps right into the tub for a shampoo. Most days after her morning play and walk you can find her napping in her favorite chair or looking out the window to give the cat and squirrel report. Like any Lab she loves food, but most of all she likes broccoli and cauliflower stems. Her parents love her easy-going nature. She is happy to share her ball and fur (which is everywhere)!

We are so happy to have Mali with us at No Bonz!!
