Lucky - March 2022 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Lucky, our March 2022 Dog of the Month!

Driving home from a family member’s funeral in Washington, Lucky’s dad saw a sign for puppies. His daughters had been asking for a dog for months and their mom finally relented. Maybe it was out of sadness or sentimentality but when Lucky’s mom saw him, she immediately said, “That’s our dog!” Lucky was named after his great grandfather human, whose nickname was Lucky, because his parents assumed after having three daughters they would not have a son. So Lucky would have to work.

Lucky’s parents were right! They share: “Lucky is just right for our family. He is a Cocker Spaniel/ Cavalier King Charles mix. He is now three years old. He is sweet and sensitive, but with a definite opinion. He is not too big but not too small. He is smart enough to hold his own in our pack, but doesn’t cause mischief. He loves to run on the beach or through the forest as much as curling up in bed with my daughters or hanging out during movie night. He gets along with nearly everybody and nearly all dogs, except pugs, they freak him out.”

One thing is for certain, we LOVE having Lucky with us at No Bonz!

Cash - February 2022 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Cash, our February 2022 Dog of the Month!

Cash, also known as "Cashy Poo Poo, Cash Money, Littles, Poo Poo" came into his parents lives in 2018 and became a new little brother to their then, 4 yo Golden-Newfoundland, Beethoven "Biggie". They "found Cash" shortly after losing their 16yo Italian Greyhound a few months prior. Cash and Beethoven instantly bonded and truly became brothers and have been ever since. Cash imitated everything Beethoven did, even down to laying the exact way Beethoven would lay at any given time. His parents instantly fell in love with their new "baby littles." They are inseparable. Cash quickly grew into a confident, sweet, human-like, smart, strong, and passionate Goldendoodle. He is 50/50 Golden Retriever/Poodle. His parents say they do not have children and that Cash completed their family beyond what they could have ever imagined.

From Cash’s parents: “Cash LOVES daycare "school" as we call it and gets out of bed right away ONLY on school days, he knows! He's been coming to school for about 2 years now. He watches TV, loves sports (all the balls) and anything with animals. He is obsessed with balls! He especially loves the beach, water, snow, swimming, playing and just about everything. He is a HAPPY GUY! His agility is insane and he has no fear. He knows when anyone is having a bad or off/emotional day/time and his sense is beyond what I've ever seen in any dog I've ever known. He is a lover and a leader.

We are especially grateful to No Bonz because he LOVES it and we know he is always taken care of and well. I am a nurse for Providence and I appreciate and am especially grateful for the care. He loves the staff and always gives a "Good Morning Bark" as soon as he arrives to "school." His best friends at school are Stevie Wonder and Bonham. Special kuddos to former employee Chelsea, who remains close to us and she calls him, her "Soulmate" as well as Jenn and Sunny :)) Thank you all for all you do! You cannot teach someone to care, either you do or you don't, and you guys do. Cash loves you all. We are so proud, thankful and over the moon that he is FINALLY No Bonz February 2022 dog of the month!!! YAY!!!”

We are so glad to have Cash with us at No Bonz and are thankful for his outstanding parents!

Stevie Wonder - January 2022 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Stevie Wonder, our January 2022 Dog of the Month!!

Stevie Wonder (also known as Steve) came all the way across the land from Puerto Escondido, Mexico to steal his human mama's heart.
He’s the sweetest little noodle and also the snuggliest. He loves to play with anything that squeaks and his mama spoils him with every dog toy he could ever want.
Stevie especially likes playing with other dogs. He absolutely loves the dog park and daycare, where he zooms around with all his furry friends.
He’s very picky with the food and has quite a discriminating palate, but overall, Stevie is a very happy pup that spends every day enjoying life giving and receiving love from everyone he meets :)

Rosie - December 2021 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Rosie, our December 2021 Dog of the Month!!

Rosie came into Nancy and Gary’s life in April 2020, a month after it seemed the whole world shut down and their month-long trip to Ireland was canceled. She was a loving and rambunctious pup, but not welcomed by her sedate, 11-year old step-pupster, Lexey, who avoided her as much as possible.

But now the two “doods” are fast friends, and as Lexey’s eyesight diminishes, Rosie has become her “seeing-eye dog.” Rosie leads her down stairs, encourages her to play tug-of-war with a sock stolen from the dirty clothes pile, and guides her up and into the car for an outing to the park.

Rosie loves to play with other dogs and kids, chase squirrels from the garden, snuggle on the couch, and charm everyone with her ultra-long “Darcelle” eyelashes. Above all, Rosie loves her time at doggie daycare, romping with other friends!

We are super excited to have Rosie with us at No Bonz!
