Nita - October 2021 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Nita, our October 2021 Dog of the Month!!

Nita has been with her parents since she was 3 months old. She was rescued from Texas where she and her brothers and sisters were born under a porch. She is the sweetest dog who loves her teenagers and her backyard where she chases squirrels all day long. Her parents aren’t sure what kind of dog she is, but they are guessing she is a mix between a shepherd and a lab with a funny tail! Whatever she is, she is loved to pieces and she loves coming to No Bonz and playing with all the other dogs!

Bonham - September 2021 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Bonham, our September Dog of the Month!

Bonham was born on a little farm in Albany, OR and has been a part of his family since Summer 2020. Bonham is loyal, spunky, playful, and as a Spaniel mix has 3x the normal amount of spaniel energy. With all this energy, he loves to take small hikes, tear apart toys, chase his ball and other animals off his yard, cuddle, and of course play with all his friends (doggie and human) at NoBonz. If you ever see Bonham, he would love for you to say Hi because he loves meeting new people and taking all your attention!!

Luna - August 2021 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Luna, our August 2021 Dog of the Month!

Luna is a 4 year old Australian Shepard from Bellingham, WA who was adopted by Kate at 8wks old. It was love at first sight when Luna crawled up on Kate’s lap at their first meeting. She was supposed to be a mini Aussie but didn’t stop growing and will never turn down snacks or an opportunity to steal food off a table. She prefers humans over dogs and is never in short supply of love and cuddles. To Luna, frisbee is life. When she is not playing frisbee, she enjoys being outdoors camping, hiking, or just sitting in the yard. Known to be a goof her nicknames include Lu, Luny, Luny Toons, Lunatic, and Turd Ferguson.

We are so thrilled to have Luna as a part of the pack at No Bonz!

Nellie - July 2021 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Nellie, our July 2021 Dog of the Month!!

Nellie’s beginning is a mystery. All we know is she found herself in an unfortunate predicament in Laredo, Texas in October 2019. If it weren’t for the amazing volunteers with Big Dog Rescue Project who pulled her from the high kill shelter, she would never have been matched with her mom and dad in Portland. Nellie’s journey from Texas to Portland includes a flight with Pilots N Paws and another with Alaska Airlines.

Nellie is thought to be 3 ½-ish and is what we call lab-ish. She looks like a lab, but that is where the lab traits end. She doesn’t really fetch and she doesn’t welcome strangers with open arms. What she does is make her mom and dad smile! She is a goofy, cute, sensitive, smart, protective, fast, fun dog. She loves the dog park (and anywhere she goes in the truck). She loves the beach (and anywhere she can run at top speed). She loves the neighborhood kids (or anything that will chase her). And most importantly, she loves No Bonz About It (and we love the hangover she gets from going).

Nellie is very proud to be selected July Dog of the Month, especially since both her mom and dad’s birthdays are in July!
